Abstract

Our ability to  perceive  emotion  is  essential  for  social  interaction,  but  is known  to  be  biased. For example,  gender can bias  perceived  emotion, i.e.,  neutral  male faces tend to be viewed as  conveying  more negative emotions  than  neutral  female faces.  Here  we examine  if  face  attractiveness  can  bias  perceived emotion.
