Abstract

This fMRI pilot study is the first to compare unmedicated, actively depressed adolescent females with MDD and BD. A main effect of diagnosis was observed during reward/punishment anticipation processing, and all depressed participants showed different neural response than controls to solving mathematical equations preceded by emotional faces versus neutral faces.
