Mental Health Changes in U.S. Army Soldiers throughout a Deployment Cycle

Negative mental health outcomes are often associated with military service. The current study sought to examine how measures of anxiety and depression change throughout the course of a deployment cycle. Results indicate that over the course of a deployment, both anxiety and depression scores significantly increase from baseline assessment.
