Abstract

Individuals with and at risk for bipolar disorder show comparable alterations in the microstructure of the superior corona radiata and anterior corpus callosum. This suggests altered white matter microstructure is a trait marker of bipolar disorder. Moreover, we see an association of aberrancies in white matter microstructure to elevated irritability.
