Abstract
We designed three studies examining the effect of participant gender on experience-taking tendencies with opposite gender narrative characters. Our third study used two popular equivalent superheroes Captain America and Wonder Woman. We found a partial effect of gender on experience-taking with respect to marked differences in demonstrated desirability bias.
