When Are Silver Alerts Effective? Metacognitive and Individual Differences

Abstract
Face recognition after viewing a Silver Alert (SA) of a missing male showed high accuracy of the target. Those correctly identifying the target as the missing male target in the SA provided higher for Predictions of Knowing, confidence ratings for the distractor photo and fewer false alarms to distractor photos.
