Abstract

Self-relevance influences emotional mimicry of happy and angry faces differently. When participants imitate high self-relevance happy and angry faces, temporal (earlier) and occipital (later) lobe are involved, while only occipital lobe is used for low self-relevance happy faces, no significant ERPs are found for low self-relevance angry faces.
