Is Manual Flexibility a Marker for Mental Flexibility? Handedness Consistency and Belief Updating

Abstract

Are some people especially likely to update their beliefs? Manual flexibility (i.e., inconsistent hand preference) is thought to be a marker for mental flexibility and a heightened tendency to update beliefs. However, in two studies we found no evidence that handedness consistency predicted belief updating.
