Abstract

Mindsets can have powerful self-fulfilling effects across domains including intelligence, stress, and exercise. Compared to traditional mindset interventions, interventions that target the belief that mindsets are self-fulfilling can achieve similar mindset change while offering people greater agency over their mindsets and allowing for more ethical mindset interventions.
