The Effects of Intergroup Bias on Voter Preference

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between political party and intergroup bias by measuring whether participants identify with policy or political party. Contrary to predictions, it was found that participants’ opinions of the candidates were dependent on the policy goals the candidates were espousing, rather than political party.
