Abstract

Students gain weight in college and approximately 23% of adolescents report no PA. Psychological constructs impact behavior, however, little is known regarding their effect on physical activity. We examined associations between psychological factors and physical activity. Vigorous exercise, life satisfaction, and importance predict goal progress while goal expectancy predicts success.
