Abstract

The current research examines the relationship between personality variables and the belief that nonsense statements are profound. Personality variables examined include self-esteem, dogmatism, and the “Big Five.” Belief in nonsense statements had significant positive correlations with self-esteem, openness, dogmatism, and extraversion.
