Acute Stress and the Appeal of High and Low Calorie Food Images

Abstract

This study examined the effects of acute stress on ratings of food appeal. Results indicated that stress did not affect ratings of food appeal relative to changes in the control group. Rather, repeated exposure to food images selectively lowered appeal ratings to low calorie foods.
