Abstract

Sexual and gender minority youth (SGMY) experience minority stress and loneliness, which may explain their higher rates of depression compared to their heterosexual and cisgender peers. Using a community sample of SGMY (N = 93), our results indicated that loneliness mediated the association between minority stress and depressive symptoms.
