Satisfaction of Search Can be Ameliorated By Perceptual Learning

Abstract

We found that training subjects to perform a camouflage-breaking task incidentally reduces satisfaction of search (SOS), or the unlikelihood of human subjects detecting additional targets. Furthermore, this reduction of SOS transfers strongly, but specifically and narrowly, to novel visual scenes.
