Assessing Life Experiences: Developing an Ecologically-Valid Measure of Critical Thinking

Although teachers agree on the importance of critical thinking, it is less clear that traditional educational programs teach critical thinking or that what is taught generalizes to everyday situations. This study describes the development of an ecologically valid measure of critical thinking designed to enhance generalization to real-world situations.
