Abstract

This study examined the correlation between makeup use and self-esteem. An online survey was used to measure makeup use and self-esteem, extraversion, age, other’s approval, and appearance. Results revealed extraversion and self-esteem were positively correlated with makeup use, suggesting that personality may play a role in understanding makeup use.
