Schema Related Subtypes of Depression: Understanding Individual Processes in Psychotherapy

Based on data of a large-scale RCT investigating the effectiveness of schema therapy of depression (N=111), we will present distinct schema related subtypes of depression (internal vs. external coping) and their therapy response over the course of a seven-week psychotherapy treatment. Implications for treatment assignment and personalized psychotherapy are discussed.
