Abstract
We explored the emotional content and quality of autobiographical narratives in Spanish-English bilinguals. Participants narrated neutral and traumatic experiences and identified the language of experience. We observed greater negative emotion words in traumatic narratives. Graphical observations suggest recalling an event in the language of experience impacts emotion and specificity.
