Asexual microaggressions included pathologization, shame, exclusion, infantilization, incredulity, and invisibility. Separate analyses of how often a microaggression happened, how the respondent felt about the microaggression, and how much they thought about the microaggression yielded different factor structures, revealing the importance of a multifaceted method for assessing the effects of microaggressions.
