Abstract
Creativity is an elusive, difficult to measure construct in children (Baer, 2011). A new measure of creative potential (via problem-solving) was administered to 96 4- to 6-year-old children (Daehler & Chen, 1993). Results indicated successful problem solvers demonstrated more persistence (p=0.02) and object manipulation (p=0.05), and fewer trial-and-error behaviors (p=0.02).
