Abstract
This study investigates if self-acceptance mediates the relationship between adverse childhood experiences (ACE) and quality of interpersonal relationships. A mediation analysis tested the indirect impact of adverse experiences on ratings of quality of interpersonal relationships through self-acceptance. Self-acceptance mediated the relationship between ACE prevalence and positive relationships with others.
