Coping Style Mediation of Depression and Anxiety Predicting Alcohol Use and Aggression in a Military Sample

We explored mediating roles of coping styles in the relation between severity of depression and anxiety with both Alcohol Use Disorder severity and aggression expression among military personnel. Results indicate a potential mechanism for negative outcomes for those with greater depression and anxiety symptoms, suggesting targeting maladaptive coping in treatment.
