Neural Correlates of Attention to Ambiguous and Non-Ambiguous Adult and Peer Emotional Expressions in Adolescence

Abstract
When confronted with ambiguous emotional expressions posed by same-age peers or adults, adolescents show better discrimination of peer emotion than adult emotions, as measured by neural responses. These results suggest that adolescents better track the subtle emotional shifts in peers than in adults.
