The Use of Visually Based Tactile Cues and Positive Emotions to Increase Feelings of Ownership

Abstract
In two studies we demonstrate that prominent visually based tactile cues interacts with induced emotion to generate increased perceived value and feelings of ownership for products. This provides an alternative as to how consumer perception can be altered in the absence of tactile input (known to increase feelings of ownership).
