Abstract

This study showed that compared with participants with low trait mindfulness, those with high trait mindfulness reported lower levels of psychological distress, negative emotion, hostility, and antisocial tendency when they were ostracized during online interactions. These findings highlight the important role of mindfulness in ameliorating the negative impacts of cyberostracism.
