Abstract

This study measured monocyte responses to stress and assessed if this response is different for adolescents with and without clinically significant sleep problems. We induced stress using the TSST-C. Adolescents showed a decrease in monocyte count in reaction to stress. The presence of sleep disturbances did not moderate this effect.
