Abstract

Corporal punishment typically relates to negative outcomes across various measures of mental health and relationship quality. This study extends prior research on the relation between corporal punishment and prosocial behaviors by examining child sex and supportive parenting as moderators, in a primarily low-income, urban, non-White sample.
