Positive Body Image Correlates with Sexual Satisfaction, Sexual Agency in Women

A survey of over 500 women examined associations between body image and measures of sexual satisfaction and agency/proactivity. Women with more positive body image reported greater sexual agency and satisfaction. Further, sexual agency scores predicted variance in body image beyond that predicted by satisfaction scores.
