Abstract

There is a dearth of literature exploring the risk factors for developing negative outcomes in the context of discrimination. This study, addressing this gap, found that experiential avoidance related to discriminatory events may be a maladaptive process underlying the relationship between racial discrimination and depressive, anxiety and stress symptomatology.
