The Bilingual Experience: Effect of Auditory Language Exposure on Verbal and Non-Verbal Executive Functioning

The effect of balanced bilingualism is revealed through the advantage in inhibitory control in both verbal and non-verbal domains over unbalanced bilinguals. Results also suggest that the observed differences between balanced and unbalanced bilingual vary depending on the group inclusion criteria adopted for different bilingual subgroups.
