Abstract

Accuracy and reaction times were recorded on children and adults at different developmental stages, with two mental-attentional capacity tasks. Results confirm predictions: time changes with mental attentional capacity, task difficulty, and task type. Reaction times are slower in high-interference tasks relative to low-interference tasks.
