Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine whether stress appraisals (threat and centrality) mediate the relationship between self-compassion and event-related college students (N = 622). Supporting the hypotheses of the study, our findings indicated that self-compassion had significant negative indirect effects on event stressfulness through threat and centrality appraisals.
