Abstract

Bright light exposure decreases sleepiness in some clinical populations. This study investigates whether a brief period of light exposure can positively impact performance and sleepiness in a partially sleep-deprived college population. The current findings indicate that bright light exposure stabilizes vigilance and sleepiness while improving executive function performance.
