Abstract

Decades of research suggest that maternal psychosocial functioning are tied to child wellbeing. However, it is unclear how these factors interact over time. Utilizing a longitudinal cross-lagged design with mother-child dyads from low-income backgrounds, preliminary analyses suggest the potential relationship between maternal psychosocial functioning and children’s early skills.
