Abstract

The hypothesis was that individuals walking faster are perceived as more assertive and less warm. Undergraduates viewed videos of a man walking down a hallway toward people and reported their impressions. Between-subject factors were speed (slow, moderate-low, moderate-high, and fast) and walker identity (manager vs. assistant). Results were as expected.
