The Effects of 20-HETE Antagonist on Myocardial Infarction in Metabolic Syndrome Rats

Abstract

20-HETE has been shown in Metabolic Syndrome(MS) patients negatively.Myocardial Infarction is associated with ischemic damage in ms patients and is worse in those patients.An imbalance of 20-HETE can lead to more ischemic damage.Lowering of the levels with a 20-HETE antagonist could help prevent further ischemic damage.
