Abstract

The current study used multilevel lagged analysis to examine the impact of dream type on changes in negative affect. For up to 21 days, 191 adults reported about waking affect and what type of dream they had (good/neutral, bad, nightmare) if any. Good/neutral dreams predicted decreases in negative affect.
