Abstract

When communicating with others, we often use nonverbal cues, eye contact, or facial expression to understand emotional states. The present study investigated the effects of induced empathy and emotional valence with eye tracking software. Results indicated that participants viewed negative emotional faces and a morality x gender interaction.
