Disentangling Effects of Socio-Economic Status and Culture on Home Literacy Environment and Executive Function

Abstract

The present study explored the unique contributions of socioeconomic status and culture to two key child development outcomes: home literacy environment and executive functions. Results showed that culture contributed to outcomes over and above socioeconomic status, which suggests interventions for low-income families should consider cultural background.
