The Relationships Among Emotions during Exercise, Exercise Intensity, and Depression/Anxiety Symptoms in College Students

Abstract

We examined the relationships among emotions during exercise, exercise intensity, and depression/anxiety. Previous day’s mild exercise predicted positive emotions during exercise the next day. Depression/anxiety were related to more negative and fewer positive emotions during exercise while negative emotions during exercise was related to more symptoms the next day.
