Abstract

Zamudio-Suaréz (2016) proposed the use of ‘hidden’ extra credit for promoting careful reading of distributed course materials (e.g. syllabi) in undergraduate courses. We investigated the association between ‘hidden’ opportunities and test scores four times throughout the semester. Students who discovered hidden opportunities scored higher on two of the four assessments.
