Abstract
In a sample of lesbian, gay, and bisexual adults, we found that discrimination was associated with increased social anxiety. This relationship was moderated by social support and certain emotion regulation strategies, such that social support buffered against anxiety, while maladaptive coping increased anxiety. Implications for future research are discussed.
