Abstract

We tested the link between discrimination and mental health with moderation by person-centered coping profiles. African American participants completed clinical mental health interviews and reported coping, discrimination, and affect. Latent profile analyses revealed membership in four distinct coping profiles moderated the associations between discrimination and mental health.
