Abstract

Research indicates that mindfulness predicts well-being. However, the mechanisms by which this occurs is still largely unknown. Across two studies, self-connection partially mediated the relationship between both eudaemonic and hedonic well-being. These findings suggest that being self-connected is important to an increased sense of well-being and warrants further investigation.
