Abstract

Animal visitation programs are popular, but evidence of long-term benefits to college students’ well-being is lacking. Participants were randomly assigned to either interact with a therapy dog or view dog videos weekly for 30 minutes. At the end of six weeks, the groups did not significantly differ on psychological well-being.
