Women Endorse Their Own Gender Stereotyped Preferences: A Replication of Conrad & Scheve (2017)

We replicated Conrad and Scheve’s 2017 study that investigated the degree to which German-speaking people’s self-ratings of words were consistent with their predictions of same-gender others ratings. With our English-speaking sample, our results were consistent with Conrad and Scheve’s findings that women’s self-ratings were consistent with their stereotypical own-gender ratings.
