Abstract
The present study was a two (violent/nonviolent) by two (difficulty: easy/hard) by three (no competition/competition win/competition lose) between-subjects factorial design, with aggressive/prosocial behavior as the dependent variable. Results revealed a significant main effect for competition, with participants became more aggressive after competing, regardless of violence level.
