Abstract
In a study of Florida Department of Health workers (n=1561) who responded to the 2004 hurricane season, those who were female, perceived that workers were exposed to environmental hazards for which they were not trained, and utilized mental healthcare post-hurricane were more likely to report frequent mental distress.
