Teamwork Tempers Violence: How Online Play Changes the Game

Abstract

The current study examined how online video gaming is affecting players’ aggression, empathy, and reaction time. Previous findings were supported, with results showing increased empathy among those participating in the online social environment of modern games. A change in the way games are played warrants further research in this area.
